Police are appealing for witnesses to a two car collision at Deer Park last night.
It is believed an 18-year-old man was driving a maroon Falcon, travelling east on Ballarat Road with a red Holden Commodore following behind around 11.30pm.
Police have been told both cars were lane changing when the red Commodore lost control and veered off the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the red Commodore from Caroline Springs received minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital.
His front passenger, a 17-year-old Derrimut man was taken to Footscray hospital for observations and later released. Two rear passengers, both 15-year-old girls from Caroline Springs and West Sunshine were not injured.
The 18-year-old driver of the Falcon from Hillside and his 18-year-old male passenger were not injured in the collision.
