Monday, 10 October 2011 15:36 Police are appealing for information after a concrete pheasant was blown up at a theme park in Tynong yesterday. Investigators believe offenders gained access to the front of the theme park on Princes Highway around 2am.
Once inside, it’s believed the bandits used some sort of explosive device to blow up the 25 metre statue, causing extensive damage to its rear end.
The offenders then fled the scene leaving behind approximately $50,000 of damage.
Police are currently on scene with the Arson Squad to determine the cause of the explosion.
